Identifying plants

Today I discovered a fantastic tool for identifying trees and shrubs, in my quest to identify the plant species in my garden. There are lots of mature plants, but unfortunatley my botany is not what it could be. However, thanks to this interactive guide to common woody plants of the UK by the Natural History Museum and Key to Nature, I am quite confident that the first of my trees/large woody shrubs to leaf is… Weigelia (Weigela florida). The feature photo, also see below, is of the plant in question – so if I’ve got it wrong please let me know!
